Muller revealed that Uggie had a cancerous prostate tumor. In one scene, Uggie saved Dujardin's character from a blazing fire by attracting the help of a police officer. Uggie starred alongside French actor Jean Dujardin. Uggie was famous for his role as "The Dog" in the 2011 silent film "The Artist,' a romantic dramedy about Hollywood's transition from silent film to sound in the late 1920s.
